British Triathlon Supporting Talent

The 2010 British Triathlon Olympic Talent Squad and the Elite Multisport Squad have now been finalised, as the sport strives to develop its talented and deliver further Multisport success on the international stage.

The Olympic Talent Squad supported by UK Sport Lottery funding, Sport England, TASS and Sportsaid includes 13 athletes who were selected based on a combination of swimming and running performances followed by an assessment of their capacity for further improvement and commitment.

Olympic Talent Squad athletes from Wales and Scotland are supported by their Home Nations talent programmes, which are funded by the Sports Council for Wales and Sport Scotland respectively.

British Triathlon is also committed to supporting our Multisport athletes through an Elite Multisport programme financed by income from Home Nations. There are two levels of squad membership: Professional (Ambassador) level and Development Level. With support from the British Triathlon team, members of the squad will be greater resources to deliver medal success in both Long Distance Triathlon and Duathlon.
