An exciting new opportunity on the British Triathlon Federation Board


There has never been a more exciting time for British Olympic summer sports, and there has never been a more exciting time for triathlon in Great Britain.  British Triathlon plays a leading role in the development of triathlon, a fast growing, dynamic and modern sport.  With a remit to raise profile and deliver the performance pathway, significant progress has been made, with triathlon events in Britain televised across Europe, and Britain recognized as a leading performer in delivering world triathlon championship events.

However, we are looking to build on this to lift the sport to new levels and are therefore looking to co-opt an outstanding applicant to the position of Independent Director –Communications and Marketing to the British Triathlon Federation Board.  As a Board member, the Director will assess the communications and marketing strategy of the organisation objectively and impact on the implementation of the whole strategy for British Triathlon Federation.

The British Triathlon Federation, a company limited by guarantee, acts as the governing body for the sport and recreation of Triathlon and associated disciplines in Great Britain, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands. The Board currently consists of the President, Chief Executive Officer, five Portfolio Directors and three representatives from the National Associations.

The successful candidate will be appointed for a period of two years from appointment and will be subject to all the commensurate fiduciary responsibilities and duties.  This is a voluntary Board position with reasonable reimbursement in line with our expenses policy.
