GOG Triathlon are proud to host the Welsh Aquathlon Championships for 2016, on Saturday 23 July 2016.

Competitors will start on the golden sands of Porth Eirias Beach into a 750m sea swim, held over two 375m laps, with an Australian beach exit/entrance. Porth Eirias is a Blue Flag beach and provide ideal, sheltered swimming waters. 

The run will take you straight over the iconic Porth Eirias Building, onto a fast flat out and back 5km run along Colwyn Bay sea front. The finish will be on top of Porth Eirias building, so you can soak up the view when you get your breath back.

Porth Eirias has free showers and changing facilities, cafe, playground, (if you're bringing the kids) and celebrity chef, Bryn Williams' Bistro. There will be ample parking on Colwyn Bay promenade, as well as at Eirias Park car park, approximately a 5-minute walk to the start. 

Athletes who are members of Welsh Triathlon at 17.00 on Wednesday 20 July 2016, will be eligible for a Welsh Triathlon National Championship Medal in the various age categories. You don’t need to be a member of Welsh Triathlon to enter the race, only to be eligible for a Championship medal.
