Today, Joe Skipper has won bronze at the 2015 Motala ITU Long Distance Triathlon World Championships in Sweden.

The race was contested over a 1.5km swim, which was shortened due to water temperature, a 120km bike and 30km run with Skipper delivering an impressive performance to finish in 04:55.10.

In the women’s elite race, the sole British representative was Amy Forshaw who finished 11th in 6:06.45.

The Great Britain Age-Group Team was also in action in Sweden securing two gold, one silver and two bronze medals.

Great Britain Age-Group Team Manager, Dawn Hunter, commented: “It went really well, the athletes I've spoken to had a good race and all said how lovely the run was in terms of scenery. The bike was a fast course. I think the GB team have had a good event.”
