Welsh Triathlon opened up their Workforce Award Nominations for 2015 in August. This was open to all Welsh Triathlon members and also promoted via Twitter and Facebook. This year there were 4 categories to vote for;

 

• Coach of the Year

• Event of the Year

• Official of the Year

• Volunteer of the Year

 

We received nominations in each category, except for ‘Official of the Year’.

The chosen winners were selected based purely on the nomination form sent in and judged by a panel consisting of both internal and external parties.

 

Welsh Triathlon is proud to announce and congratulate the winners of the following categories;

 

Winner of Event of the Year 2015 

 

TriExercise Pembrokeshire Coast Triathlon, 20th June 2015 run by Pembrokeshire Triathlon Club

 

Winners for the second year running. The TriExercise Pembrokeshire Coast Triathlon is based at Broad Haven in St. Bride’s Bay, a stunning beach setting in the heart of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. The course has been designed to be challenging, but enjoyable, with superb scenery. The event is suitable for everyone, from novices to seasoned triathletes.  Relay teams have become a special part of the event, with around 30 teams competing for top honours and mainly just enjoying being part of a team.

Janice Coyle of Cardiff Triathletes

 

Janice is a volunteer coach, committing a vast amount of personal time developing innovative, technical and challenging coaching session. Janice tailors every session to ensure that all needs are catered for and through her build program, ensures that progress is made.

 

Winner of Volunteer of the Year 2015

 

Bethan Loveless of Cr@p Tri. 

 

Nominated by Simon Moore, Bethan is described to be 'The greatest supporter you could ever ask for, always willing to muck in, help out and cheer on, everyone would want Bethan on their team'.

 

Winners will receive their award at the Welsh Triathlon Annual General Meeting on Monday 23rd November 2015 at 6pm in Sport Wales, Cardiff.
