Following the Welsh Governments’ announcement on Friday 19th February 2021 the Tier 4 restrictions will continue for another 3 weeks. It is disappointing that we find ourselves in this position, but we fully understand that the safety of the population comes first. As a Triathlon community, we have managed this situation recently, and we will do so again.
Club Funding
The Be Active Wales Fund is here to protect and progress your club activity. The fund, made available by Sport Wales, has already helped many triathlon clubs across Wales through the challenges caused by the Coronavirus pandemic. In addition to this, the fund has also supported new projects which will help more people access triathlon.

Tri Active Cymru
Welsh Triathlon has established Tri Active Cymru (TAC) to create further opportunities to provide localised, introductory multi-sport sessions. We want to make triathlon, duathlon, or aquathlon activity easily accessible for everyone…anywhere in Wales. We are looking for community champions, clubs, and interested volunteers to put on TAC events.

Club Takeover
We know that during lockdown, every Welsh Triathlon affiliated club has adapted and delivered various activities for their membership, to keep them engaged in the sport. We want to shout about it and share the positive impact clubs have had on the triathlon community in Wales and wider. Club stories will be shared across all Welsh Triathlon communication channels, including Facebook and Twitter, so make sure to look out for them!

Looking for a triathlon event? Our event search will help you find an event to suit you. From GO TRI and sprint distance to Standard and Middle distance races we know that you will find the perfect event to put all your training to the test. All of our permitted events will be Covid-Secure allowing you to race with peace of mind.
Coaching
People become coaches for a variety of reasons, perhaps a parent wanting to help out with their child’s club, or an experienced Age-Group athlete wanting to give something back to the sport they enjoy. Whatever the reason, it can be a rich and rewarding role helping others develop and achieve their personal triathlon challenges. The role of the coach is vital to the success of all participants at every level.
