National Performance Assessments Weekend 2020

Calling all aspiring youth & junior triathletes. This year’s Performance Assessment weekend will be taking place on the 4th & 5th of April in Loughborough.

The Performance Assessment weekend is the first race in the British Youth & Junior super series and consists of a swim time trial on Saturday followed by a combined bike/run on Sunday.

This is a big weekend for Pathway activity and as well as the chance to compete for Super Series race starts, it also offers additional development opportunities for athletes and parents with a number of workshops and talks taking place over the weekend.

Welsh Development Academy Spring & Summer Camps.

The Welsh Development Academy (WDA) is a programme run for athletes aged 14-19 and is the first selective stage in the Welsh Performance Programme. The purpose of the Welsh Development Academy is to create a supportive, challenging and inspiring environment to help aid and guide athlete development.

The WDA will be running two camps over the spring & summer months. The first will be in Plas Menai from the 15th to the 19th of April and the second in Broad Haven from the 16th to the 19th of August.

If you would like to be considered for an invite to these camps you will need to register for, and attend the British Performance Assessment Weekend in Loughborough as well as notify the Welsh Triathlon Development Coach via email at vickyjohnston@welshtriathlon.org by 29th March 2020.

Your email should contain a race CV highlighting any individual race performances (swim & run) from October 2019 onwards that you would like to be taken into consideration.
