Entries to stage 4 of the Welsh Super Series have now opened, with the Bala Standard Triathlon going live yesterday (20/12/2017).

In a change to 2017 and previous years, the date of the Bala Standard has moved to avoid clashes with other popular races over the border. The change also allows the event to form part of the Welsh Super Series and be part of a wider range of Welsh Triathlon events at Llyn Tegid that weekend (7^th/8^th July 2018). Working alongside Wats-on Events, Gwynedd Council, the Urdd and the National Park, proposals are being finalised for a multisport weekend which will see the Bala Standard, a Welsh Triathlon Tristar Junior IRC qualification event, a New National Club Relay Event and Swim Wales National Open Water Championships all take place at LLyn Tegid. Keep the date free, as entries will open as soon as we receive confirmation from the relevant authorities. 

Back to the Super Series, and entries for the Llanelli Sprint, Mike’s Bikes Pembrokeshire Coastal Triathlon, Cardiff Triathlon and Sandman Triathlon have also opened, with the Tuska set to open early in the New Year. Details on how to enter can be found below. Remember, to compete for the Super Series Title, competitors top four scores across all events will be taken. There is also a club element to the series which will see the top five registered finishers from each Welsh Triathlon affiliated club have their times combined. The top four scores from each club across all events will then be taken.

Y mae'r pedwerydd cymal of Cyfres Cymru 2018, triathlon Y Bala, wedi agor i gystadleuwyr.

Mewn Newidiad i 2017, y mae dyddiad y triathlon wedi newid i sicrhau ei fod ddim yn gwrthdaro efo digwyddiadau poblogaidd dros y ffin. Hefyd, wrth gyd weithio efo Triathlon Cymru, fe fydd triathlon Y Bala yn rhan o benwythnos gweithgareddau sy'n gynnwys Ras Gyfnewid Newydd i Glybiau, Ras IRC i'r plant Tristar a hefyd Pencampwriaeth Nofio Agored Cymru, a chynhaliwyd gan 'Nofio Cymru. Wrth Weithio ym mhartneriaeth efo Cyngor Gwynedd, yr Urdd, Nofio Cymru a'r parc Cenedlaethol Eryri, fydd y penwythnos yn cael i hysbysu unwaith i'r manylion olaf gael i gadarnhau.

Yn ôl i Gyfres Cymru 2018, Y Bala yw'r bumed cymal i agor i gystadleuwyr, efo Sbrint Llanelli, Triathlon Sir Benfro, Triathlon Gaerdydd a hefyd Triathlon Sandman Ynys Môn yn barod i gymryd cystadleuwyr. Mi fydd Cymal 'Tuska Porthcawl' yn agor yn fuan yn y flwyddyn newydd. I gofnodi, cliciwch wrth y gwefannau isod.

Cofiwch, er mwyn cystadlu am dlws Cyfres Cymru, fydd y pedwar sgôr uchaf i bob cystadleuwr yn cael atodi. Mae yna hefyd cyfle i Glybiau Cymru cystadlu erbyn ei gilydd drwy'r gyfres, am fydd y pum cystadleuydd uchaf o bob clwb Triathlon Cymru yn cael ei phwyntiau i atodi.
