Cerist kicks off TriStar series with a bang

Published:

Cerist Triathlon Club got the Tristar Series 2018 underway at Machynlleth on Sunday 29th April with a capacity filled Aquathlon which has set the bar for the rest of the Tristar series.

A chilly but bright day greeted the 170 competitors for the biggest ever Cerist Junior Aquathlon, and luckily the weather held out for a great day’s racing! Many were taking part in their first multi-sport event, and they all left the field with huge smiles and a great sense of achievement! There were some fantastic swims and great battles out on the run course, but whatever the finishing time every competitor can be proud of their performance. The atmosphere was excellent all day, with every participant being cheered on and encouraged by the crowds.

The next events come thick and fast, with Ruthin and Llanelli hosting the next two stages. For further info on the Tristar Series, please visit www.welshtriathlon.org/events/tristars-series. good luck to everyone for the rest of the season.
