Today is ‘Cycle to Work Day’. To celebrate this, and in line with our commitment to reducing our environmental impact, we are excited to announce our Welsh Triathlon Commuting Challenge. As triathletes, commuting sustainably doesn’t just help the environment, it is also a great way to get a little extra training in during the week!
That’s why, from today, and for the rest of August, we are challenging you to commute (to school, work or training sessions) as much as possible via sustainable methods, and log all your commuting miles that are done by walking, running or cycling to show just how far we can travel under our own steam!
We would like to get as many people involved as possible, so we are encouraging all our clubs to enter as teams (no limit on numbers in a team), with one team captain logging the mileage for their team each week via the following link: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/PQK2PPW. We will keep an up to date leaderboard throughout the competition.
If you aren’t a club member, then we would love you to still enter as an individual, or get together with some friends to form a team, and submit your mileage on the same link.
Our Welsh Triathlon staff will also be joining the challenge, so please share your journey with us via the hashtag #WelshTriCommutingChallenge and we will have spot prizes drawn at random from all entrants.
