Highlights from the Llanelli Junior Triathlon Weekend

Published:

A weekend of Multisport took over Llanelli North Dock on the weekend on the 10th and 11th May where the sun shone on a packed weekend of triathlon organised by Healthy Life Activities. Saturday 11th saw the third round of the Welsh Junior Race Series, sponsored by Coracle Coaches. The race saw TriStart, TriStar 1,2 & 3 compete in the duathlon.

After the event many of the athletes stayed to watch British Triathlon Super Series with junior, senior and paratri athletes competing.

Following on from great performances on the Saturday, Sunday saw the youth and junior athletes take part in Stage 1 of the Welsh Triathlon Super Series. The AGILIS sprint Triathlon. A superb event to kick start the Open water triathlon season. This event now in it’s 24th year has been a firm favourite with triathletes who enjoyed a warm swim in near perfect weather conditions.

On what was one of the hottest weekends of the year, it was great to see so many of our Welsh Clubs out in force.

There were some impressive performances throughout the day, and it was great to see another race in the Welsh Junior Race Series go so successfully! For Junior Race Series results, please click here.

A huge thank you to Noelwyn Daniels and his team of volunteers at Healthy life activities  for hosting such a great event!

Thank you once again to Coracle Coaches for their sponsorship of the Welsh Triathlon Junior Race Series.
