Welsh Triathlon join Disability Sport Wales for the Insport Para Series Swansea.
Monday 2nd August saw Welsh Triathlon team up with Disability Sport Wales to deliver a day of activity at Penlan Leisure Centre as part of the Insport Para Series Festival, Swansea.
A rainy day meant activities were moved inside but they didn't disappoint. The Children taking part had a half hour pool session followed by an enduro sytle fun event of bike-run-bike-run on indoor static bikes and a run around the sports hall.
A mum of one of the participants said, It’s really nice something like this has come to Swansea, my son has enjoyed having a go at triathlon this morning, and loved racing against the staff. It was great to see him having a go a t a new activity we never thought possible.
The Insport Para Festival was the start of a week long festival taking place in Swansea in the lead up to the World Triathlon Para series which takes place at Prince of Wales Dock, Swansea on Saturday 6th August.

The afternoon session saw 50 girls from Swansea based summer camp US GIRlS join the action, participating in teams of 3 to swim bike and run. They loved the event so much they carried on cycling on the static bikes as the team were packing the rest of the equipment away.
US GIRLS leader Jen said: "this is fantastic, we have never done anything like this before and the girls are having so much fun. We want to add an activity like this every time we do a camp in the future".
