New Welsh Partnership Excites

This week Matthew Evans of Activity Wales Events confirmed that they had teamed up with Wales Triathlon

This week Matthew Evans of Activity Wales Events confirmed that they had teamed up with Welsh Triathlon  the National Governing Body - this exciting move sees the whole Activity Wales Events triathlon programme come under the National Governing Body licensing.

 

Activity Wales Events (AWE) launched in 2010 and delivered the first ever Ironman Wales in 2011 changing the dynamic of long distance racing in the UK almost overnight with their community push to generate unparalleled crowds.  AWE now run 26 events, the largest being the ever-growing, International Long Course Weekend that sees over 30,000 people descend on Pembrokeshire in July. 

 

Beverley Lewis CEO of Welsh Triathlon Cymru says

“Welsh Triathlon is delighted that Activity Wales Events will now be permitting through the National Governing Body.  AWE deliver some wonderful multisport activities in iconic locations and our members can now take part fully insured through their WT membership.  There will also be greater opportunities for our volunteer officials to officiate at a greater variety of Welsh events Welsh Triathlon will benefit from the partnership to help further develop multisport across Wales.”
