The squad at NTPCW recently had their second breakfast club, following on from the success of the first one earlier this year.
The aim of the session was to add some new recipes from our Performance Nutritionist, Natalie Allen, for the athletes to use to fuel their training through the winter. The new recipes can be downloaded here if you want to try them.
Alongside the Breakfast Club, the athletes also did a workshop around preparing for the upcoming winter training camp. This was a great opportunity for the less experienced athletes in the group to learn from those who have been doing it for years. As part of the workshop they discussed topics such as:
- Travel planning & logistics
- Kit & equipment
- Health & hygiene considerations
- Managing training load & injury prevention
