Team Relay Trial event Wednesday 23rd August in Aberavon,

As per the current Welsh Triathlon Commonwealth Games 2018 Selection Policy, we are pleased to confirm the date of the Team Relay Trial event as Wednesday 23rd August in Aberavon, running alongside the Aberavon Aquathlon Series event that evening. If you would like to be considered against Phase 2 of the policy, you will be required to compete in this event.
 
The trial will take place as a race over the team relay distance of approximately 250m Swim, 6km Bike and 1.6km Run. There will be separate waves for male and female athletes, with field sizes capped at 10 per gender, to best simulate the demands of the team relay in the Commonwealth Games.
 
The revised selection policy (to reflect the above event) is currently with Commonwealth Games Wales for final approval, and will be published on the website when it has been confirmed. The entry process for this event will also be published shortly, with places allocated primarily based on performances during 2016 and 2017 in international and domestic races to ensure the maximum possible field standard.
