This award is to recognise the valuable contribution of our volunteer Technical Officials. This award will honour an official who has shown commitment to and progression within the sport.

Winner - Ellie Preece

Congratulations to Ellie Preece for being awarded Technical Official of the Year 2021. Ellie is a great ambassador for Officiating in Wales. Ellie is an experienced official who works tirelessly to ensure events run smoothly and are safe for all participants. She became Wales’ first female National Technical Official last year for British Triathlon and officiated at the World Triathlon Series in Leeds. The past year has been challenging for everyone, but to see the positive contributions Ellie has made to the sport and to events has been tremendously uplifting. - Amy Jenner, Workforce Officer

Tom continues to give guidance to all Welsh Officials and is a real support to all those involved. In the words of many Tom is an absolute legend of Welsh Triathlon. And should not only be recognised for his commitment to officiating but for all the support and work he does for Triathlon in Wales.
