Mae Triathlon Cymru yn falch o gyhoeddi ein bod wedi derbyn cymeradwyaeth Cynnig Cymraeg, sef cydnabyddiaeth gan Comisiynydd y Gymraeg i sefydliadau sydd wedi creu cynllun datblygu'r Gymraeg. Dyma gyfle i ddangos i'n defnyddwyr ein bod yn ymfalchïo yn yr iaith Gymraeg ac yn barod i'w defnyddio.
Triathlon Cymru yw'r Corff Llywodraethu Cenedlaethol ar gyfer Triathlon a'i aml-chwaraeon cysylltiedig yng Nghymru. Ein diben yw datblygu cymuned triathlon sy'n gwella lles cenedlaethau’r presennol a rhai’r dyfodol yng Nghymru. Rydym yn sefydliad dielw sy'n gyfrifol am gymryd rhan, digwyddiadau a gweithgarwch perfformio yng Nghymru gan weithio ar y cyd â'r Gwledydd Cartref eraill ac o dan Arweinydd Ffederal Triathlon Prydain.

Disgrifiwch y broses o baratoi Cynllun Datblygu’r Gymraeg.
Ar ddechrau’r broses o fynd am y Cynnig Cymraeg, roedd swyddogion Tîm Hybu Comisiynydd y Gymraeg yn barod iawn i helpu. Roedden yn egluro’r broses yn fanwl ac yn amlinellu sut fyddai derbyn y Cynnig Cymraeg o ddefnydd i ni fel corff.
Roedd yn bwysig fy mod yn cynnwys cyd-weithwyr ar draws ein sefydliad ar y siwrnai, wrth wneud hyn, roedd yn sicrhau eu bod nhw yn deall yr anghenion a pham fod y gwaith hyn yn bwysig.
Pam ei fod yn bwysig eich bod wedi derbyn cymeradwyaeth y Cynnig Cymraeg?
Mae Derbyn y Cynnig Cymraeg yn pwysleisio ymrwymiad Triathlon Cymru i hyrwyddo’r Gymraeg o fewn y sefydliad, gan gydnabod pwysigrwydd diwylliannol a hyrwyddo dwyieithrwydd yng Nghymru. Yn ogystal, mae derbyn y Cynnig Cymraeg yn cynnig cyfleoedd i weithio gyda sefydliadau cyfrwng Cymraeg, cymryd rhan mewn digwyddiadau Cymraeg megis Eisteddfod yr Urdd, a ffurfio perthnasoedd cryfach gyda defnyddwyr gwasanaethau Cymraeg eu hiaith.
Beth yw manteision cynnig gwasanaethau cyfrwng Cymraeg i ddefnyddwyr eich gwasanaeth?
Mae cynnig gwasanaethau cyfrwng Cymraeg i ddefnyddwyr gwasanaeth yn helpu i wella eu profiad a’u hymgysylltiad â Triathlon Cymru, gan sicrhau eu bod yn teimlo eu bod yn cael eu gwerthfawrogi a’u deall. Mae darparu gwasanaethau Cymraeg hefyd yn dangos bod Triathlon Cymru yn poeni am ei aelodau Cymraeg eu hiaith a’i fod wedi ymrwymo i ddarparu gwasanaethau cynhwysol sy’n adlewyrchu eu hiaith a’u diwylliant gan anelu am y miliwn o siaradwyr Cymraeg erbyn 2050.
Ydy’r Cynnig Cymraeg wedi gwneud gwahaniaeth i’ch gwaith?
Mae’r Cynnig Cymraeg wedi cael effaith gadarnhaol ar waith Triathlon Cymru drwy ddangos bod y sefydliad yn gynhwysol sy’n gwerthfawrogi’r iaith Gymraeg a’i diwylliant. Mae hefyd wedi agor cyfleoedd i ymgysylltu â defnyddwyr gwasanaethau Cymraeg eu hiaith a chryfhau perthnasoedd â sefydliadau cyfrwng Cymraeg.
Fyddech chi'n annog eraill i geisio am y Cynnig Cymraeg, a pham?
Yn bendant, byddwn yn annog sefydliadau eraill i fynd am y Cynnig Cymraeg gan ei fod yn dangos eu hymrwymiad i hybu a gwarchod yr iaith Gymraeg a’i diwylliant. Byddai hefyd yn gwella enw da'r sefydliad, yn gwella'r gwasanaeth a ddarperir i ddefnyddwyr gwasanaethau sy'n siarad Cymraeg ac yn dod yn fwy ymatebol i'w hanghenion.
Pa dri pheth ydych chi'n medru eu cynnig yn y Gymraeg?
Mae Triathlon Cymru yn cynnig ystod o wasanaethau yn Gymraeg megis deunydd marchnata dwyieithog, diweddariadau cyfryngau cymdeithasol Cymraeg, y cylchlythyr dwyieithog, a staff Cymraeg eu hiaith i gynnig gwasanaeth croesawgar a chynhwysol i ddefnyddwyr gwasanaeth sy’n cyd-fynd â’u hanghenion iaith.

Triathlon Cymru is the National Governing Body for Triathlon and its related multi-sports in Wales. Our Purpose is to develop a triathlon community that enhances the well-being of current and future generations in Wales. We are a non-for-profit organisation responsible for the participation, events and performance activity in Wales working in collaboration with the other Home Nations and under the Federal Lead of British Triathlon.

Describe the process of preparing the Welsh Language Development Plan.
At the beginning of the process of going for the Cynnig Cymraeg, the Welsh Language Commissioner’s Hybu team were very helpful. They explained the process in detail and outlined how receiving the Cynnig Cymraeg would be of use to us as a charity.
It was important that I included officers from across our organisation on the journey. I discussed with my colleagues to ensure they understood the needs and why this work was important.
Why is it important that you have received the Cynnig Cymraeg?
Receiving the Cynnig Cymraeg emphasises Triathlon Cymru's commitment to promoting the Welsh language within the organisation, acknowledging its cultural importance and promoting bilingualism in Wales. Additionally, receiving the Cynnig Cymraeg opens up opportunities to work with Welsh medium organisations, participate in Welsh Language events, and form stronger relationships with Welsh-speaking service users.
What are the advantages of offering Welsh medium services to your service users?
Offering Welsh medium services to service users helps to enhance their experience and engagement with Welsh Triathlon Cymru, ensuring that they feel valued and understood. Providing Welsh language services also demonstrates that Triathlon Cymru cares about its Welsh-speaking service users and is committed to providing inclusive services that resonate with their language and culture.

The Cynnig Cymraeg may have made a positive impact on Triathlon Cymru's work by demonstrating that the organisation is an all-inclusive entity that values the Welsh language and culture.
